Our Story
It Started in The Field.
Jon Stram, avid hunter and outdoorsman, was never satisfied with the scope protection products available at the time. In the mid-1990s, while outfitting hunters on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, he faced some of the harshest conditions imaginable. The island’s temperate rainforest receives between 150 and 200 inches of rainfall annually, making wet weather a daily reality for hunters and guides alike.
In those conditions, a scope that isn’t protected and ready for use can quickly become a liability. Jon watched as every scope protection device he and his hunters relied on failed in one way or another—whether it was too complicated, too slow to remove, or simply unable to withstand the environment.
